Hi, we are NSL (Naga Soft Labs) and we’re making what might seem like a crazy investment, investing in a domain for reasons that may not be immediately obvious. However, we strongly believe that in the long run, this domain will hold value for someone and that patience will eventually be rewarded.
Domain flipping is the practice of purchasing domain names at a low cost and later selling them at a higher price for profit much like flipping real estate or stocks but in the digital world.
At its core it involves buying something when no one needs it, holding onto it and continuing to pay for it over time with the belief that one day, someone will recognize its value and be willing to pay more for it.
That said, my intention isn’t purely to resell the domain at an inflated price. Rather, I don’t want a random person on the internet to acquire and use this domain without understanding the meaning, history or identity behind the name.
For example, if Tuensang were to become the capital in the long run and if most business and services move fully online in the future then owning the .com domain associated with that name would be considered truly original an OG digital asset.
Anyone who is thinking long-term should understand the real value of domains. Domains aren’t just web addresses, they are digital land and once taken, they are rarely replaced.
So, domains are essentially land in the digital world. Just like physical land, digital land can become extremely valuable over time. History has already shown us that the right domain, at the right moment can be worth millions of dollars.
A prime example is AI.com which was reportedly sold in 2025 for around $70 million. There are also several other notable domain sales that highlight the true value of premium digital real estate, such as:
Voice.com — sold for $30 million in 2019
360.com — sold for $17 million in 2015
Chat.com — sold for around $15.5 million
NFTs.com — about $15 million
Rocket.com — around $14 million
